I’ve been to the edge of existence again and again – in extreme weather in remote places, in conversations where people I love say things I never imagined I’d hear, in sudden economic shocks that wipe out the plan I thought I had. Plant medicines, a near death experience, childhood trauma, extreme sports, emotional and physical abuse, the challenges of building businesses and building houses, and the strain of business relationships have all brought me to my knees more than once. Each time, there’s the story I was carrying about how it was supposed to go, and then there’s reality, showing up in a completely different form. The shock and fear are real. The work is to meet what is, breath by breath, and let some of the density move on the exhale instead of getting trapped in it.

Because of all this, very little surprises me anymore. Basically, nothing you share will shock me. I’m not here to judge your story or tidy it up. I’m here to sit with what is actually happening in your life – the parts that are exhilarating, the parts that are breaking your heart, and the parts you don’t know how to talk about yet.
